Sean Penn Trades Script for Book with Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff

Sean Penn is known for many things. First and foremost he is a celebrated and awarded actor. He is also a brilliant filmmaker. Over the last few years he has even made a name for himself as a news correspondent. He has traveled to Iran, Iraq, and Cuba. He has even hobnobbed with El Chapo. Currently he is enjoying a whole new experience, travelling in a book tour. Penn just debuted his first novel titled, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff, and by all accounts it will not be his last.

Over the last few years Penn has become disenchanted with the movie business. A fact he lamented in many interviews. He is not the first actor/actress who has felt this way. Many have turned to other careers, with more than a few trying their hand at writing. A few people in the news world attributed Penn’s writing career as a mid-life crises, but the actor does not appear to be stressed. In fact he appears to be having the time of his life. According to Penn writing allows him to be completely free. He can create something that comes just from himself, without the dilution of all the other voices present in a film production. He has stated more than once that he has other things in the works, and by all appearances he will be writing more books.

Bob Honey has garnered much criticism from the news media. The book contains a six-page critique of the #MeToo movement that is anything but flattering. Penn has declined to apologize, stating that the book is meant to be a satire. Despite this the book is doing well, and Penn is having a lot of fun on his book tour. One thing is for certain, the newly free Sean Penn is not holding anything back.
