Happy Joe’s Pizza Debuts in Egypt
Happy Joe’s Pizza is the original American pizza restaurant. Founded in 1972 by Joe Whitty, Joe was always dreaming up new ideas that focused on serving pizzas and ice cream. He wanted to create a restaurant where families could be together and celebrate.
In New York, Joe’s Pizza has grown and expanded worldwide. He always aimed to bring great food and family values to the different communities he helped open a restaurant. The company (Happy Joe’s Pizza) operates 36 stores in the Middle East, with another twenty-five scheduled to open this year alone.
The outstanding and unique Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream has opened a new store in Cairo. With this monumental debut, the unforgettable American Pizza & Ice Cream Parlor has become El Cairo, Egypt’s first American-chain pizza restaurant. The restaurant is a family-owned franchise and is part of the Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream Company. Since opening in Egypt, the restaurant is already tracking significantly higher than its U.S. counterpart in sales volume.
All the stores in Egypt will be managed by an Egyptian franchisee, saying that the potential market is too great to leave it to a foreign-managed chain. In addition to opening the first U.S.-based pizza restaurant franchise in Egypt, Happy Joe’s American Pizza Parlor and ice cream is the first American-chain restaurant to open in Egypt.
According to Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream CEO Tom Sacco, their goal is to bring the value of American Pizza and ice cream to Egypt. Their iconic Pizza, ice cream, and magical flavors will catch Egyptian hearts. The ice cream will be homemade, using natural flavors and dairy-based ingredients. Tom Sacco said that Happy Joe’s is proud to be the first American-chain pizza restaurant in Egypt and is only the beginning.
