Colcom Foundation Pursues Path of Environmental Education

The Colcom Foundation has had a long and productive existence in its native region of western Pennsylvania. The purpose of the group was to promote awareness of a vast multitude of burning environmental issues. It was founded through the philanthropy of Cordelia S. May in 1996. Since that time, it has been expanded to its present size.

One of the most influential roles that the group has played has been in the realm of environmental education. This includes such topics as the state of air quality in several regions throughout the United States and the world. It also includes other sensitive topics like population control. These are issues that need to be addressed in public.

The Colcom Foundation acknowledges the significance of thorough immigration reform in the US. The Foundation supports groups like the National Immigration Forum and the American Immigration Council that strive to improve the lives of immigrants and refugees. These groups seek to strengthen the American immigration system and make it fairer and more reasonable.

Since being founded, the Colcom Foundation has gone out of its way to promote the idea of a balance between nature and the human race. As the dominant species on the planet, we have the unique responsibility of acting as stewards. When we neglect this duty, very bad things tend to happen. These negative events have been piling up in recent times.

As Cordelia S. May recognized, the Colcom Foundation could play an active role in helping to avert these negative occurrences. The role of the group would be to make people aware of the consequences that could possibly become the norm if not averted in time. This is the most crucial part of the activities that the group undertakes.

The Colcom Foundation has organized a number of events in recent years that have helped to highlight its role in environmental education. These include speaking events, educational videos, and other pedagogic implements.

While the road ahead is admittedly a thorny one, much progress has already been made. There is plenty of hope that the message of the Foundation will be heard and fully responded to. See this article for more information about the foundation..
