Glenn Lurie was born in 1958 and grew up in Long Island, New York. From a young age, he wanted to get into the business world, and luckily for him, he got his wish as he started working for AT&T when he was just 24 years old. He was promoted many times and was finally promoted to president in the early 90s. During this time, he was able to take advantage of AT&T’s growing success and make more changes that would benefit the corporation as much as possible. During his time at AT&T, Glenn managed a lot of different types of accounts, but he credits his greatest achievement being the purchase of McCaw Cellular Communications. He thinks McCaw provided him with the experience he needed to know how to lead a company.

He worked with Synchronoss company in the past and was able to work with them for a long period before he eventually decided to buy them. This company was in charge of all of the towers that AT&T used. He said that this was one of his biggest achievements as far as milestones go, and he hopes to be able to make many more in the future. He increased the number of subscribers for AT&T by purchasing McCaw Cellular Communications, which was a significant increase for the company.
