Yanni Hufnagel
Yanni Hufnagel is the founder of Lemon Perfect. Yanni has been involved in several business ventures, including investment banking, hedge funds, and oil trading. In 2007 he shifted his focus to the lemon industry and founded Lemon Perfect.
Lemon Perfect was one of the first major lemongrass oil companies to enter the marketplace with a high-quality product at an affordable price. It has increased sales by over 2 million percent since 2007, making it one of North America’s fastest-growing natural ingredients companies.
The company also partners with farmers throughout Southeast Asia and Uganda to planting high-quality lemons for harvest up to 18 months later when they meet our stringent quality standards for taste and purity. The company harnesses the power of blockchain technology to make its supply chain transparent and reliable.
In 2011 Yanni founded YH Hufnagel & Co., an investment banking and consulting firm that provides the oil and gas industry strategic planning, merger, and acquisition services. The company specializes in advising on mergers & acquisitions, initial public offerings, private placements, and other capital markets transactions.
Yanni Hufnagel is an avid philanthropist who, along with his wife and daughter, is involved in several charities and causes. Yanni sits on the international organization ‘Journeys for Justice’s board. He is also a member of ‘FOCUS’ in Los Angeles, CA. He serves as a board member of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council and is an adjunct professor at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
In 2012, Yanni and his daughter Alexia hufnagel co-authored a children’s book titled ‘Let’s Think Big’ that went on to win first place at the 2013 London Book Festival. Proceeds from book sales were donated to charity.
Yanni Hufnagel attended the London School of Economics, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Management Science and Information Systems (1992). He then attended the University of California, Los Angeles as a recipient of a Governor’s Scholarship to study law and economics. While at UCLA, Yanni taught Economics, Management Science, and Law at the Ronin School for the Arts.
A man of deep faith, Yanni has always been committed to giving back. His many years of extensive business experience as an investment banker and energy trader have allowed him to create sustainable social programs that directly benefit people in developing countries.
