Alliance Defending Freedom and what they are all about

Alliance Defending Freedom is a strong believer and supporter of religious freedom, free speech, protection of life, parent rights, and gods vision for marriage and the value of family. The organization was created in the year 1994 by leaders of the Christian community. Although they are a Christian group, they value and respect all other religions, whether that be Muslims, Jews, Mormons, or the like. They even value and respect people who are atheists. The organization wants to end violence against other religious faiths and communities, and it is seen as one of their main missions.

Anyone can donate to Alliance Defending Freedom from their main website. They go over what they are about and go into further detail about what they believe in from their website. ADF is recognized as the world’s largest legal organization in regard to religious rights and freedoms. They firmly believe in people’s right to believe in what they want to believe in. They believe anyone has the right to practice what they believe in a church or place of worship and the connection and marriage between a man and woman. They firmly believe a human is either male or female and marriage between the two is sacred.

In 1997, ADF launched its Center for Academic Freedom (CAF), which challenges campus speech codes used to stifle students and faculty on campus. They are a believer in free speech and that college students should be free to express themselves as they wish. This is evident with ADF winning 400 cases to protect students’ rights. In one case, they helped get some students out of legal trouble for passing out copies of the US Constitution on a campus outdoors. Alliance Defending Freedom also believes in the preservation of human life, helping a war veteran involved in a major car accident.

The organization believes in parents making decisions for children and directing their upbringing. ADF has worked to make a difference in Europe and beyond by helping people abroad.
