Alliance Defending Freedom: Safeguarding Your Constitutional Rights and Freedoms

Everyone is entitled to certain rights and freedoms, be it in America or anywhere in the world. However, there may arise situations that curtail and deny these freedoms from some people. That is where the Alliance Defending Freedom comes to the rescue.

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), founded in 1994, is a group keen on ensuring that an individual’s constitutional freedoms and rights are well preserved. ADF is accredited by the European Parliament and Commission, the Organization of American States (OAS) and the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Here are some of the rights that Alliance Defending Freedom fight to safeguard:

 Religious Freedoms

It is the belief of ADF that every citizen is entitled to their given constitutional right to participate in a religion of their choice. This means that they can extend these religious convictions to their businesses if they so please. Alliance Defending Freedom has defended the religious freedoms and rights of Christians, Mormons, Jews, Muslims, people of no faith and Jehovah’s Witness.

ADF’s work towards religious belief protection has extended outside of the United States to other countries. They have advocated against the genocide of religious minority groups such as the Shia Muslims and Yazidis.

 Free Speech

The need and desire to express one’s opinions is a right deeply engraved into the heart of the Constitution. This right allows every person the freedom to air their views and engage in debates over important issues without fear of discrimination. Free speech is even more critical in learning institutions such as universities and public colleges.

Alliance Defending Freedom has worn over four hundred cases to protect the right of free speech for students in universities. These victories have affirmed ADF’s long-standing view that public colleges and universities are a marketplace of ideas and freedom of speech allows for this to remain so.

Sanctity of Human Life, where they believe that life should be protected from conception up until natural death.
