Anilesh Ahuja is the founder of Premium Point Investments. Premiums Point Investments was founded in 2008 and had dealings in the residential real estate market on a multi-sector level. They trade fundamental credit within the residential mortgage markets. Premium Point Investments focuses on the mortgage platform and specializes in the fields of loan underwriting as well as issuance, trading and bond securitization. Anilesh Ahuja ran this business with 5 other owners and was recently sentenced to fifty months in prison due to a scheme to mislead investors.

The six week jury trial ended in a conviction that Anilesh Ahuja knowlingly participated in a scheme to lie to investors about the true amount of money in their investments. Ahuja’s attorney is currently working on reversing the charges due to the inconsistencies in court. They are claiming that the testimony that Anilesh gave does not match the time line that the attorneys presented in court. The timeline divulges information on when the asset mis-marking took place and is relevant to the court case. Anilesh’s attorney is stating that the government concealed information during the case and they do not know why this occurred and the defense was not allowed to cross examine Anilesh during the trial.
