Best New Young Venture Capitalist Tom Keane

Tom Keane is an American writer and software developer born in 1969. Tom’s career began in Silicon Valley, where he worked at several startups. His last job before becoming a full-time writer was at Google, where he created the product search page with Matt Cutts, one of his bosses. As a writer for publications such as The New York Times and Business Insider, Tom has covered technology for over 15 years.

 

Education

 

The engineer Tom received his Bachelor of science in computer science from New York University. He also studied computer science at the University of California at Berkeley but did not graduate there. The software developer and cloud services engineer  received his MFA in creative writing from San Francisco State University (Yahoo).

 

Career

Tom began his career in Silicon Valley, working for many startups. He ended up working for an online startup later acquired by Google, where he met Matt Cutts. He went on to work at Google and was one of the creators of product search pages with Matt Cutts. This was a fantastic opportunity for both Tom Keane and Cutts because product search pages were one of Google’s primary sources of revenue.

 

Awards

 

He was named one of the “world’s smartest people ” and “one of the most influential people in finance” by Barron’s. Later on, Tom Keane was nominated for the “Best Young Tech Entrepreneur” award by Veuve Clicquot.

In addition, Tom Keane was also nominated for the “Best New Young Venture Capitalist” Award by Dow Jones VentureSource. For the Dow Jones VentureSource, there is no doubt that he has contributed his fair share to the technology industry and has helped continue to create fun new features for Google. He has earned money as a writer, investment banker, investor, and entrepreneur.
