How the Colcom Foundation is Paving the Way to a Better Future
The future can look pretty bleak at times. With all the problems we face as a species from economic decline to environmental destruction, it can be easy to become depressed and pessimistic.
However, the Colcom Foundation is doing everything in its power to help build a better future for everyone.
History
The Colcom Foundation was created in 1996 by Cordelia S. May. Born in the 50s, this woman knew very early on that the human race was in trouble. It was obvious that overpopulation and the destruction of the environment were taking their toll on the planet and that if something wasn’t done soon, disaster was inevitable. She worked her entire life to fight against the forces that could end humanity and even though she passed away in 2005, Colcom carries on her work.
Colcom Foundation supports several special programs, including the Conservation Catalyst Fund, which grants conservation organizations working to protect threatened species and habitats. By offering financial support and resources, this foundation allows these groups to make significant strides in conservation efforts.
Ideals
The Colcom Foundation believes in the principles of equality and freedom. Everyone is equal regardless of sex, race, nationality, income, and ethnicity. By giving everyone a voice and allowing freedom of speech to flourish, the best ideas will rise to the top and truth will overcome falsehoods. Colcom also values democracy and believes that everyone should have an equal vote on matters.
Programs
Right now, the Colcom Foundation is focusing on two main objectives: stop overpopulation and ecological destruction. They teach people about family planning and contraceptives to help decrease the birth rate and maintain a stable population. They also partner with other like-minded organizations to protect the environment in Pennsylvania. Thanks to them many green spaces have been preserved and many species saved.
A Brighter Future
The core of Colcom Foundation’s ideology is optimism. They believe that we can overcome the problems facing our species. By working together, we can pull back from the point of no return and build a better world for those who come after us. Refer to this article for related information.
