Nick Millican: Many People in London Cannot Afford Home Without Pooling Resources

Sixty-three percent of people in London who want to buy a home are teaming up with family and friends for help, as real estate expert Nick Millican recalls. Fifty-two percent of the people who purchased a home in 2016 were able to do so without any help.

Newham, Barnet and Hounslow were among the most expensive areas to buy a home. Seventy-three percent of the people who purchased a home for the first time purchased a flat, Nick Millican informs. This is how the housing market works.

Half of the people who applied for a loan in London were first-time homebuyers. Housing prices started to go down in 2023, and this will help people. However, people are still struggling to afford to buy a home when the cost of everything is increasing. And this is where real estate agents such as Nick Millican come in to help clients find what they’re looking for.

Tom Bill works at Knight Frank as the head of UK Residential Research. He said that first-time homebuyers fare the worst when it comes to dealing with these rising mortgage rates. Nick Millican also said that the housing market could sway the way that people vote.

The government is trying to offer help to people who want to buy homes. Additionally, homeowners are more likely to vote conservative. Nick Millican is qualified to help people who want to buy a home because he has extensive experience in the real estate market.
