Kelcy Warren

Kelcy Warren, the CEO of Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) and its affiliates, has been active since 2012 and has proven a successful businessman. He is known for his success as an owner of pipelines, terminals, and other ventures that allow access to oil and natural gas reserves. He also acquired Plains All American Pipeline Company in 2011, making him one of the richest men, worth around $3 billion.

He quickly rose through the ranks to become CEO of Houston Natural Gas Company but also gained experience as a lawyer for the law firm Andrews & Kurth.

His Achievements

On top of his success in the energy field, Kelcy Warren has been recognized as a brilliant businessman. Forbes lists him as one of the 300 richest Americans and one of the wealthiest people in Texas. He was listed among the 300 most influential people in U.S. energy by the Texas Society Of CPAs (TSOCPA) and Allied Energy Magazine; he was listed 4th on the list of “Texas’ 15 hottest corporate bosses” by Texas Business Journal and was also named best CEO of the year by Houston Business Journal and Energy Transfer Partners, or ETPO.

Kelcy Warren is known for his success in the oil and gas industry and philanthropy. In 2015, he was honored for his contributions to non-profit organizations with the Humanitarian of the Year Award at the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ annual black-tie gala. He actively supports education and has donated over $20 million to Southern Methodist University (SMU), including $10 million for SMU’s new Cox School of Business. For this philanthropy, SMU named a business school building after him called The Kelcy L. Warren Business Building.
